Parents for Children's Mental Health Conferance Oct 26th 2009

The conference is the launch of PCMH's new workshop - From the Inside - Designed to give caregivers, professionals, and public a sense of what it is like for children suffering from a myriad of mental health disorders.  Utilizing simulations, participants gain an experiential look at the Invisible Disability and what it is like - From the Inside.

Dr. Goldbloom, the keynote speaker, speaks openly about stigma, its effects, ways it can be beaten, and the reason why we neat to beat it!

The conference offers opportunity for parents to train to be presenters of our workshop as we role it out and offer it Province-wide.  Parents who attend the conferencedo not have to attend the training.  The Face of Psychiatric Disability - is another interactive workshop re-enforcing the point that children cannot be judged by their pictures alone.
